    1. The details are clear decals, like with the Master Grades. Yes, there are also stickers on that sheet. But the top and left side are standard clear decals. Real Grades always do it like that. I've yet to put my Real Grade kit together, so I'm not sure if they're actual stickers, or metallic-painted clear decals, though I think it's the latter.

    1. It's a tough issue. People who paint/customize their kits (who usually are the most hardcore gunpla collectors/buyers) complain a lot about getting colored clear plastic. This is because if they want to have custom colored gundam eyes/beam sheild instead of the standard colors, it is sometimes impossible to achieve with clear plastic that have already been colored.

Bandai seems to try to accommodate everyone by giving us clear colorless parts randomly.

Personally, I prefer getting colored clear parts. Looks much better then using clear paint

  5. I remember the HG version's shield being a little bluish, and I thought RG was supposed to be superior to HG in every way.

  6. Why didn't they just color the frikkin shield instead of making it colorless clear and putting a stupid sticker on it?

    1. For pro painter to paint it with clear blue? I dont really mind putting a sticker on it though.

  7. Well, I was already on the fence about mostly not buying this due to the stupid WoL being separate and an online exclusive, but stickers on a clear part for the shield, instead of just being the frickin colored clear plastic like the MG? Definitely a pass, now. Such a shame; I was really digging the RG line.

  8. The shield is pretty damn lazy.
At least it's clear plastic instead of being white so you just need a clear blue paint and paint it up.

  9. Seriously people? you judge kit because one clear part? Are you gundam fans or Jesus Yamato's beam spam fans? Remember, whenever you whine about color accuracy on kit, what you really did are admitting that you are a lazy snap fitter

    1. snap fitters like myself aren't lazy, we're just different

    2. There's nothing wrong with snap-fitting! Painting all those pieces individually, while trying to keep track of them all, would make me neurotic.

Not that I didn't just paint some clear parts in a Master Grade, but I still consider myself a lazy snap-fitter.

  10. Is it just me or does the Destiny have less plates than the other real grades?

    1. Because that's not all of them?

  11. Look on the bright side, at least they gave us more than 2 hand-covers unlike the MG or HG where you'd have to swap. And as much as I'm alright with Bandai giving us stickers for the beam shield, that probably means they'll do the same if they'd release an RG of F91 or SF. Damn...

  12. feel kinda sorry for people that want this...just dont get what people see in destiny, the ms design is really mediocre...

    1. I felt that way with the GP-01 but then I understood it's allure but personally I like the Destiny everything except its feet especially on this kit.

  13. Wow, look at that shitty sticker for the beam shield, why not just use the same effect parts like from the MG?

And look at all those white stickers, Bandai looks like they dropped the ball hard on this one.

    1. Those "white" stickers you speak of are metallic stickers.

This guy has clearlynever built an RG before.

  14. Really I can't believe people are going to blow this kit off simply because of one clear part? The fact we are getting 7 beam saber blades, plus the clear shield, plus lots of those good metallic seals to add detail for lazy builders and your not happy?

    1. Yea, no other RGs so far have as many as beam parts (aside from RG freedom with his special effect on the cannons). I personally will take this as a training, i might regret it latter if i failed, though, LOL

  15. clear shield??? challenge accepted

  16. How do the stickers on the shield go on? Do you put them on the back of the shield, or in front?

    1. On the back, i'm actualy building it now, it looks majestic. TwTd i actualy love doing sticker job for this one.

    2. Thanks for answering (and asking) this question. I'm building a Strike Freedom RG right now and was wondering the exact same thing. Since the front has a bump, it seemed logical to put it on the inside, but I decided to scour the internet first just to make sure...
