    2. that's what I meant, we already have or are gonna have those kits. And I forgot to mention the DSH
what else is left. unless they're gonna include all the other upgrades. after all, they already gave us DSH. Still don't if WZC is included in the new EW series or not though

    3. From what I see they are going to release the tv versions (wing zero tv is in the cover of the project), but it bugs me to see EW still on it, so my last conclusion would be that they will make the rest of the EW MG but they will release wing zero tv ver

  3. Uuuhhh What? Can somebody explain? We already have EW kits and why are they showing Wing Zero TV version when is EW.

    1. I once saw a pic of Wing Gundam TV Version on the title page for the "Glory of Losers", which is using all the EW version MSs.

Here's the image of Wing Zero's back in the manga

    3. Now it gets more confusing. If they plan on using wing zero tv in the manga gotd, how will they explain the transition from wing zero tv to wing zero custom.

  4. How come the name i sEndless Waltz and the pictures is of Wing Zero TV version? Anyway hinting at Wing Zero MG?

  8. from what i know, the Manga itself using Hajime Katoki's Gundam design.. so.. maybe..

  9. If it's the original wing Zero it won't be the TV version. it's likely a re-proportioned Katoki styled one.

  10. ugh..dont tell they are gonna re-released the EW ver in their 2nd form....(e.g. Heavyarms Igel)

if this image is included in the GOTL manga, and GOTL uses katoki/EW design, then does that mean that WZ TV version will be included in the manga story which contains katoki/EW design? Maybe WZ TV version will have a little bit of redesigning from katoki just like the nu gundam ver ka, knowing how popular WZ TV version design is, so maybe WZC with angelic wings will be further upgrade of the WZ in the GOTL story...

    1. If I remember, there was a side story where it explained why Heero changed the wings on Wing Zero already out there. However, I think it's also an obscure side story, too.

      Delete
    2. Yeah i know and read something about that, but its not cannon and its just a side story, it never happened, but now, GOTL seems to be using the WZ TV series design, which means there will be a story about how WZ design will be upgraded to WZC angelic design.

      Delete
    3. No, that was Ground Zero, which was basically just a doujin that happened to get released in the US. It has absolutely no bearing on Wing's continuity, and in fact clashes with the other manga, which were done by members of the show's writing staff. So that explanation claiming that Zero EW is an upgrade of Zero TV? It's bullshit.

      Delete
    4. No you didn't get the point here, its BULLSHIT in the past, but its not bullshit now, i know that story is not cannon at all and does not support any cannon stuff, but were talking about GLORY OF THE LOSERS here, not that bullshit manga, WZ Tv version design is set to appear in GOTL manga, which is supposed to be remake of the series in EW/katoki designs which is the past of EW movie, if WING ZERO will appear as the TV version design in the manga, how will it became the angelic look wing zero custom in the EW movie if it will not be upgraded, COMMON SENSE, its either it will be upgraded further or they will change its name.

  15. Guys look at the picture they are definitely giving us the season 2 Gundams redesigned. The picture clearly shows Wing Gundam Zero tv. I would expect Altron tv., Deathscythe Hell tv and idk another tallgeese?

  17. So suddenly the Nu Gundam has a Full Psyco Frame when it was explicitly mentioned that the psychoactive materials were only embedded around the cockpit...AND now the Okawara Wing Zero shows up in an alternative take on the AC Universe that essentially has us forget about the Okawara designs? Wait. What? Why can't they just release the TV Wing Zero without all the convoluted retcons? Is there a question about its marketability? Do they think it'll sell better with the Glory of the Losers name attached to it? Should we expect some silly recolour like what they're doing with the EW Tallgeese? Did some over-caffeinated intern slip up and plaster the wrong image to that promo poster?

    bandai. wat r u doing?
    stahp it bandai ur drunk.

    1. From a business perspective, what they're doing is more profitable. The Okawara versions would sell for obvious reasons. However, if they release all of them now, the chances of customers buying the ver Ka retcons decreases. If Bandai releases the ver Kas first, fans would buy them while waiting for the inevitable Okawara versions. The Robot Damashii releases also come into play here. If a fan wants the Okawara ver instead of the ver Ka, buy the Robot Damashii, which is priced the same as MG ver Ka. It's all about maximizing the longevity of the Wing franchise.

      Delete
    2. Oh yes, I absolutely understand this. That's why they pulled that EW Epyon out of their hats when they did. They knew fans would clamor for any flavour of the Epyon, even it'd just been totally fabricated for the model release. That version wouldn't have sold if they chose to send out the Okawara version first. I'm sure it'll be the same story for the MG Tallgeese. Feed us some obscure custom colour variant and we'll eat it up because Tallgeese. When we calm down about it, they'll give us the proper TV version. After that, they'll squeeze us some more with all the other Tallgeese variations. Factor in the revenue from all the other products lines and, like you say, the Wing franchise will continue to gouge us for years to come. It's a plan that'll line their pockets nicely.

It doesn't make sense to shoehorn the TV Wing Zero into Glory of the Losers, if this promo poster is anything to go by. I'm arguing that it's unnecessary to connect the Okawara Wing Zero to a series that has to this point only used the Katoki versions, especially since we've been made to believe that -in this continuity and in Endless Waltz- the Katoki versions are actually meant to stand in for the Okawara versions. I should clarify something I wrote above. When I mentioned "convoluted retcons," I was referring to the in-story justifications that'll have to happen to make sense of this whole mess. They'll surely contort an already convoluted story to make it work. I'm not objecting to the Katoki versions themselves or anything like that. In fact, I prefer them; I own all five EW MG Gundams. Still not nuts for that Epyon, though. Anyway, I don't think there's a single person in the marketing department who'll tell you that the TV Wing Zero won't sell. All I'm saying that I'm sure it could sell on its own without branding it with some little-known manga serial. It's the long-awaited MG Wing Zero, for Christ's sake! That shit'll sell like hotcakes (or whatever.)

I feel silly defending the narrative integrity of series like Wing, EW, or Glory of the Losers, but dammit, Bandai. Can't you pick a story and stick to it? (Rhetorical question. Please don't answer it.)

      Delete
    3. maybe its not trying to make Wing Zero sell(since it'll sell regardless), but trying to make the manga sell?

      Delete
    4. There's no proper Tallgeese TV version, idiot. The MG tallgeese is exactly the same as the TV version since Katoki originally designed it to begin with.
And this assumption that the Wing Zero will sell like sex is ridiculous. The only MG of the Wing TV series is the Wing and there's clearly a reason why it's the only one. Wing is not that popular inside Japan. Okawara is a much less popular designer than Katoki and his designs clearly sell less.
In fact, there's never been a straight kit version of his designs at all because he's just terrible with proportions. Look at his linearts and the TV animation versions of his work. It's like looking at two variations.

    5. @Anon 8:16PM: That's a fair point. Didn't consider it!

@Anon 8:58PM: Woah, gear down there, big-shifter. You're gonna be that guy? Anyway, despite your hasty assessment of my intelligence, I'll give you the benefit of the doubt and assume that you A) have knowledge of the new set of EW Tallgeese pictures GG published from the recent hobby show, and B) have a pair of working eyes. Look at those pictures, then Google lineart for the, yes, Katoki-designed Tallgeese I. Notice anything different?

If the Wing franchise wasn't so popular in Japan, why does Bandai continue to release manga, kits and a whole mess of other merchandise? What about the wildly popular Endless Waltz OVA? Sure, Wing made a splash in the States, but the reality is that the Gundam franchise doesn't have a market outside of Japan. The products are made for the Japanese consumer base. Bandai likely hasn't released more Okawara designs for the reasons FrustratedPhenotype and I discussed above. Also, recognize that the Okawara Wing Zero is much more well liked than the other TV designs.

Also, I agree that the Okawara linearts require a lot of clean up to make them work. His genius was in moving the mecha anime genre away from the "super robots" style. Beyond that, he's been out of his own element for years.

  19. I understand Bandai releasing Wing Zero TV version since its really that popular but If bandai plans on releasing the TV versions os Deathscythe, Shenlong, Sandrock, and Heavy arms who would even buy them? Okawara designs of those 4 gundam are so bad compared to katoki's version.

    1. opinions.

Lots of people think otherwise; they're the ones who will buy them.

    2. that includes me as I had grown liking that tv versions. And the Katoki's just don't give a big impression to me cause I knew them to be just a redesign of the ova's.

      Delete
    3. who are you to say no one would buy them
      dumb assumption
tv versions fans and real wing fans obviously
      kids these days lol

    4. MG Heavy Arms Endless Waltz. Was gonna buy it cause its Heavy Arms but was put off by the excessively distant alterations to the Okawara simplicity.

Personally i think Katoki's redesigns should eat horse shit, vomit it on each other, then jump off a cliff and die.

      Just my 2 cents :D

    1. hmm.. interesting idea ! :)
it's not imposibble that BANDAI will do JUST THAT !
maybe the (new) Deathscythe Hell will be somewhat different than the-already-released MG... (which means another buy for me..) all in all, i'm still looking forward to how Sandrock kai, Heavyarms kai & Nataku will look like in the manga, and hopefully get their MGs released.

  23. New comment on old topic im only 15 and I have been waiting since I saw the show for a mg WZ tv ver and DH I like both of them, it makes no sense to pump out all these age kits and take so long to make the tv ver wing suits I mean I'd even take a new line of hg kits who agrees with me?
